Plastic Surgery Experts Give Their Thoughts on Awake Breast Augmentation

Performing breast augmentation “awake” (local anesthesia rather than general anesthesia) is getting a lot of attention nowadays because it’s being presented as a “safer” alternative. But is it actually safer?

That’s the question that’s been posed to some of the most experienced plastic surgeons in the country, and the answer is a resounding “no”. Take a look at this VIDEO interview from the Plastic Surgery Channel, and remember to do your homework on your surgeon before you sign up for anything that sounds too good to be true.  Many of the “surgeons” offering awake breast augmentation aren’t fully-trained plastic surgeons, and some of them aren’t surgeons at all!
